Linda and Dana Coin,
Co-owners

In 2014, Linda and Dana created a collaboration of their professional talents and partnered with Decorating Den Interiors, an industry-leading company with 50 years of expertise in high-end design, to provide their clients with an unmatched network of local craftsmen and international vendors. Their company has continued to build trusted relationships with top quality manufacturers in order to create rooms of great sophistication and durable quality. The Coin’s and their team are consistent leaders in the DDI community as Chairman Circle Award recipients for each year in business, honoring them for their business production and exemplary customer service.

In addition to working with her own clientele, Linda also serves as DDI Design Director overseeing the design staff and implementing educational opportunities and workshops. She personally interviews potential clients in facilitating the “matching” of the perfect design staff member for each project. Dana utilizes his manufacturing experience and executive project management to facilitate the processes of the DDI operating systems.

It is the Coin’s goal to provide an incomparable, fun design experience for every customer. They do this by delivering outstanding design, quality products, and exceptional service. With their exclusive DDI Concierge Service, once their client’s design is finalized, they coordinate everything from ordering to installation. 

Outside of business activities, Linda and Dana enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, visiting their home state of Michigan, and enjoying everything the Florida lifestyle has to offer.

Marcia Feeney

Marcia Feeney is a Decorating Den Interiors designer. She gravitates toward tropical and island-casual designs, which may be inspired by her love of cruise travel. Marcia especially enjoys assisting her clients in creating their Florida dream home and has been one of Decorating Den Interiors’ top designers for over 20 years, consistently receiving distinguished design and production awards.

Marcia was an elementary school teacher and real estate agent in her past life. When she’s not in the studio, she takes advantage of the island weather, biking, playing tennis, and walking the beaches whenever she can. It’s quite the change from her roots in Huron, South Dakota and Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she and her husband raised their two sons.

Jeanie Tinch

Jeanie Tinch is a Decorating Den Interiors designer. Originally from Normal, Illinois, Jeanie has lived in southwest Florida for 33 years, most of which she spent as an interior designer. She loves a mix of island, modern, minimalist, and traditional design. Her favorite part of working for Decorating Den Interiors is meeting clients from around the world and learning about their stories. She works to make functionality meet design in a way that makes her clients’ dreams become a reality. The most satisfying part of her job is seeing her clients’ faces when they see their transformed spaces. Jeanie has also attained the distinction of being a member of DDI’s prestigious President’s Circle.

When she’s not in the studio, you can find Jeanie getting in touch with her artistic side; she enjoys painting, taking photos, and doing needlepoint. She also gardens, bikes, and finds time for volunteer work with young women when not creating memories with the three daughters and grandchildren.

Trinette Nelson

Trinette Nelson is a Decorating Den Interiors designer. With a wide range of interests, from knitting to cooking to riding motorcycles, Trinette is sure to find a connection with every client. She loves using her creativity to help others envision a space they wouldn’t have imagined on their own. Keeping in line with her free-spirited nature, Trinette doesn’t have a specific style she prefers; every client is unique — that’s why her job never gets boring. Her enthusiasm for design work and client satisfaction contributes to the numerous DDI awards and allocates that she consistently receives each year. 

She’s a relative newbie to the area. After raising three children in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota, she moved to Cape Coral, Florida, with her husband. They’ve been in the area since 2016 and have settled into enjoying the best of the Florida lifestyle with routine motorcycle rides along the water and regularly visiting our beautiful beaches.

Katie Frederic

Katie Frederic is a Decorating Den Interiors designer. She loves to layout and tweak designs to make her clients’ vision come to life and finds this process to be a most rewarding experience. She has a background in fashion design which created the perfect career experience as Katie transitioned into the world of interior design by expanding her education. A consistent recipient of numerous DDI awards, Katie is one of our top performers and her clients especially enjoy her effervescent personality.

As a Florida native, Katie’s favorite design style is sophisticated coastal which she finds to be both refreshing and inspiring. She loves playing with the different palettes in both modern and traditional spaces and creating a curated look utilizing her talent of combining of color, pattern, and furniture styles. When not working on perfecting her margarita recipe, Katie’s frequent trips to visit family in the Cayman Islands with her husband and two children provide some routine inspiration.

Nancy Burton

Nancy Burton is a Decorating Den Interiors designer. She loves encouraging clients to try out one “out of the box” element, whether it’s a unique furniture piece or a simple pop of color. Nancy enjoys translating the individuality of each client into a unique and personalized design. 

After moving from Savannah, Georgia, to Fort Myers, Florida, 30 years ago, Nancy quickly took to helping friends decorate their homes. She decided to make the shift from helping clients create custom jewelry designs to helping them create custom living spaces at Decorating Den Interiors. Now she enjoys providing DDI’s concierge service, taking care of all the details, and bringing the design process straight to her clients’ homes.

When Nancy isn’t in the studio, she can be found enjoying the outdoors, sampling fine wines, or traveling the world with her friends, family, and her three twenty-something boys. Some of her favorite destinations include the Colorado Rockies, Machu Picchu, Serengeti National Park, and the Great Wall of China.

Sarah Whiteside

After enjoying a long career focusing on sales and education within the cosmetic industry, Sarah brings her organization and merchandising talents to the DDI team as Designer Resource Manager.

Through consistent team meetings focusing on product education Sarah works hard to bring preferred supplier product information to our designers and provides resources to enhance their creativity during studio design sessions.

Sarah has always had a creative spirit and interest in color placement and design, first as a child watching her mother decorating their family homes to later assisting her sister, Katie, who is a successful DDI designer.

A native of southwest Florida, Sarah enjoys family time with her growing boys in the warm sunshine of our beautiful gulf beaches during her free time.
